I heard some very sad news this week about someone I care about and am reminded how short life is.

This has been a recurring theme through the year.

I spent a long time cycling within my own microcosm without a bigger perspective, then ended up age 35 doing things I should have started at age 23. Better late than never!

Being an alien in Germany made me very self-conscious.

It was a good thing because the environment influenced me into necessary self-critique. But too much turned it into an obstacle. I confined myself to illusions of inferiority and inopportunity, but am now slowly coming out of them.
